ABOUT ME

I am an experienced HR professional with a strong background in all types of employee relations challenges. I have worked as an independent consultant since 2016, and was previously employed as a HR Director for 7 years within the Higher Education sector.

 

I am a Fellow of the CIPD  and have worked successfully within the following sectors:

I hold a Post-graduate Certificate in Organisational Development

KAREN COOMBS - Chartered FCIPD, BSc (Hons.)

I have been a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) since 1993 and a Fellow of the CIPD since 2003.  I also hold a Post-graduate Certificate in Organisational Development (2012).  I have extensive experience of delivering HR solutions in both the public and private sectors.  I have worked at all levels; from strategic board level, to management and operational roles; working in partnership with businesses to deliver effective solutions to support the achievement of organisational objectives.

 

I do this by developing a good understanding of your organisation, your policies, and what you are trying to achieve; using my professional and personal knowledge and experience to facilitate successful outcomes.  I work hard to build a strong rapport and levels of trust with those I work with, and to provide straightforward, evidence based advice.
